Ahimsa Silk — also called Peace Silk — is silk with a conscience. Unlike conventional silk, where thousands of silkworms are boiled alive inside their cocoons, Ahimsa Silk allows the moth to complete its natural cycle and emerge. It carries the same philosophy as choosing not to eat eggs from caged hens: when life is taken in suffering, that stress leaves an imprint. We believe the same is true of what we wear against our skin. Many of our fabrics are niche — small-scale, artisan-made, and cultivated with natural mindfulness. Cotton, on the other hand, is the most widely used fabric in the world. Because it’s everywhere, it’s also one of the most wasteful. The fashion industry discards over 92 million tonnes of textiles every year, and cotton, whether conventional or organic, often ends up in landfill. That’s why we’ve chosen to go further. Our cotton is 100% recycled. By taking something already abundant and reworking it into new life, we reduce waste while still offering a fabric that is familiar, comfortable, and trusted.
Our banana fibre fabric begins where most materials are overlooked — in the stem of the banana plant, a natural by-product of farming that is typically discarded.
We select only the finest inner fibres and refine them using gentle, low-impact processes to create an ultra-thin, breathable textile. Light on the skin with a soft drape and a subtle, natural sheen, it offers effortless movement and quiet refinement.
Also known as “vegan silk,” cupro is the alchemy of cotton farming’s overlooked byproduct—cotton linter—transformed into silken threads through a closed-loop process. The result? A sumptuous, drapey fabric that feels weightless and breathable. It’s biodegradable, soft on the skin, and carries the elegance of silk but with clearer ethics.
Our Bemberg satin is the poet of lining fabrics: smooth, breathable, and low-friction, solving cling and static with effortless movement. It’s a premium cousin of cupro, spun by Asahi Kasei, that uses regenerated cellulose from cotton linter and is biodegradable, gentle on skin, and kind to the environment.
The particular Bemberg satin we’ve chosen is one of our absolute favourites. It’s super thin, wonderfully flowy, and luxuriously soft. Against the skin it feels incredibly smooth, with a cooling touch that makes it perfect for warm climates or layering. Its airy lightness and elegant drape give it a modern, fluid character — a fabric that carries both refinement and comfort in every thread.
Here’s fabric that tells a story of transformation. Born from citrus juice byproducts—orange and lemon peels that would otherwise go to waste—Orange Fiber is spun into a silk-like, lightweight textile. It revives food waste, conserves water, and avoids harmful dyes. Its subtle cellulose sheen, gentle feel, and sustainable origin remind us that beauty can grow from what we discard. Even high luxury brands are using this material for its antibacterial, UV-conscious, moisture-wicking magic.
A rare and quietly luxurious textile, lotus silk is unlike any conventional silk. With a soft, matte finish, it offers the elegance of silk without the high shine, creating a more grounded, natural aesthetic.
Unlike traditional silk, which can feel slippery and heat-trapping, lotus silk is breathable and thermoregulating, meaning it stays cool against the skin and does not cling or cause overheating. It rests gently rather than sliding, making it ideal for pillowcases and bedding… comfortable, stable, and deeply soothing to sleep on.
The fibre is extracted by hand from the stems of the lotus plant, a process that is entirely artisanal and requires great skill and patience. Lotus grows naturally in water, requiring no irrigation, no pesticides, and minimal intervention, making this one of the most environmentally harmonious fibres available.
